Wrapper of the Week: Lisa Enckell
Welcome to Wrapper of the Week! Each Wednesday we’ll feature a different Wrapp staff member to give you a little sneak peak at the incredible team behind Wrapp. This week, meet Lisa!

Name: Lisa Enckell. My real name is Elisabeth, but very few people know that. I’ll only start calling myself Elisabeth if I screw up and need to clean up my reputation on Google. :)
Position: Head of Marketing
Hometown: I was born in Karlshamn, south Sweden. I now live in Stockholm.
Currently working in: Stockholm, traveling frequently to New York and San Francisco
Why Wrapp? I keep track of my friends’ birthdays and can send them a greeting and gift card on their birthday even if I’m not using Facebook every day. I love the feature where you can gift in advance and that Wrapp posts the gift on the right day. Many of the people I give gift cards to didn’t realize that most of them are for free, and for a long while I was perceived as the most generous person among my Facebook friends. Most of them get it now, though. I love getting the push notification saying “Your friend x just redeemed their y gift card.” It makes me happy that people use what I gave them and buy something they like.
Favorite Wrapp purchase: This might sound cheesy, but last Christmas I bought all my gifts in Wrapp stores, during just a few hours. I think I redeemed around five gift cards that day… I was super efficient since I knew exactly what stores I was going to visit. Apart from saving money I got some really nice gifts. The only gift that wasn’t quite right was a pair of hipster headphones for my aunt…
Craziest thing you’ve seen happen at Wrapp: Hard to only pick one… We had a launch event in Sweden on November 15. In less than a week we arranged a party and around 300 people from startups, media and retailers attended. We had tons of beer, wine and wraps (of course), and it was pretty crazy that we managed to fill the office with all those people in such a short notice.
Best gift you’ve ever received/given: I love giving gifts and love to surprise people. But it’s fun to receive too, of course. My grandparents have a rule that they are “traveling up the heritage”. They realized that their children are doing fine, and instead of saving money until they pass away, they decided to spend it on trips together with their children and grandchildren. It really brings our family closer and we’ve done a lot of fun things together during these trips. I think those trips are the best gifts I’ve received.
Hidden talents: I know some Swedish sign language, and I’m pretty good at “röja” (Swedish for dancing like crazy on the dance floor). I can keep a lot of things and details in my head at once (especially if I have a lot of things to do).
On your bookshelf: Books from university, tons of paperbacks, three Angry Birds plush toys and a bunch of papers that I probably should throw away.
On your nightstand: Don’t have one, but on the floor I have the charger to my iPhone, dust and some books that are waiting to be read.
On your playlist: I love the feature on Spotify where you see what you’re friends are listening to. I listen to whatever my friends are listening to (boring, but true). Music is a big thing at Wrapp, we have some real music lovers (read nerds) and provide great Friday playlists every Friday.
