Glad Midsommar, Wrappers!

It’s Midsommar in Sweden! As expected, Wrapp (with its Swedish roots), has a lot of nice merchants with all the stuff you need in order to celebrate a proper Midsommar. Check out our merchants’ fan pages for inspiration on how to celebrate this peculiar, but incredibly charming holiday!

[Mid-Summer] A Swedish tradition celebrated annually on the third Friday of June, which also happens to be one of the longest days of the year - in the Northern parts of Sweden, the sun doesn’t even set on this night! People dress up and wear flower wreaths in their hair while dancing a dance called ‘little frogs’ around a huge pole. The most traditional food is new potatoes (it’s a big thing in Sweden). We also eat lots of herring and strawberry cream cake. Nom.

Grinda, one of our merchants, is a place in the archipelago that is very typical for summer celebrations (click on their fan page for beautiful pictures of Swedish landscapes). Another merchant, Granit, provides stuff that facilitates all kinds of midsummer celebrations (yup, awesome stuff, click for inspiration!).

Wrapp a nice gift card to one of your friends and have a lovely Midsommar, friends!
