Why Wrapp?
I just love the service. Who doesn’t love giving gifts. I especially love helping friends make smart shopping decisions. I also really love that’s its a mobile application. I’ve recently come to terms with the fact that I’m a real smartphone addict. I’m one of those people who can ride a subway in the wrong direction multiple times in a row because I’m totally entranced by my phone. I’m hoping someone will come out with an App to help me with my addiction.
Favorite Wrapp purchase: Oh I really like this question because I recently made some big purchases. I just bought bohemian hair mist, argan oil, lip stick and lip balm from the Josie Maran line at Sephora. Which is a HUGE purchase for a women who’s not ashamed to admit that she still uses a MAC blush purchased back in 2007. Yes, I realize I should have used my Sephora gift card to buy blush.
Craziest thing you’ve seen happen at Wrapp: Partial - skinny dipping with fellow Wrappers at the first ever Cray Fish Party, and attending the San Fran Folsom street festival with my boss and a few other wrappers. That was quite an experience. I don’t think any other company is as open.
Hidden talents: I’m really not talented. But if I’m pressed to say something, I guess it’s that I speak three languages - French, Swedish, English - and that I played on national championship winning high school Rugby, Soccer and Basketball teams; although I was nominated M.I.P twice (Most Improved Player). So that tells you how talented I am at sports. I’m also a serial student government member. I was on student councils for 12 consecutive years, from 5th grade all the way through my graduate studies. And I’m currently President of my alumni club. If Wrapp had a student council, I’m sure I’d be on it.
Coolest Trip You’ve Ever Been On: I really can’t pick just one. Traveling and moving to new countries is kinda my thing. But I think my favorite countries are Argentina, France, Bolivia and Philippines. I especially loved living in the south of France for eight months when I was 21. That was the most amazing year of my life.
Can We Find You on A Saturday Night: At home eating chinese dumplings with my super swedish boyfriend. Or out with friends for dinner. Weekend activities usually revolve around food.
You’re an Expert on: marketing, the difference between Swedes and Americans, scary movies and how to pack your entire life in one suitcase.
What Was Your Dream Job When You Were A little Kid: I wanted to be a triple threat - actor, singer, dancer. I could sing the whole Miserable album by the time I was 6. In fact, I think I sang that one very gloomy song - “Can you hear the people sing” at my 6th birthday party. I was quite the party animal as you can imagine.
On your bookshelf: The Cluetrain Manifesto, The Tipping Point, The Uses of Haiti, Hegemony and Survival, and all the Shopaholics
On your nightstand: In my iPad I have Bossy Pants by Tina Fey - hilarious!
On your playlist: Thanks to our Tech team and their Friday Spotify playlists, I’ve been introduced to some really good trance and alternative rock music. Artists like The Radio Dept, Deadmau5, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Tourist. Its great for working. But my favorite music is the stuff I can dance to. Then I listen to Reggae, Reggaeton, Dance Hall, Kompa and Zouk music, Salsa and Bachata.
